Georgia Tech T-Book

InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop

During my time at Georgia Tech, I have been a member of the Ramlin' Reck Club since Spring 2013. Through this involvement, I had the opportunity to be involved with the creation of the Georgia Tech T-Book, a 160 page publication describing the history, traditions, athletics, student involvement, and alumni connections at Tech that is distributed to pver 5,000 incoming students every Fall. I served as coeditor of the 2013 and 2014 T-Books and Editor and Chair of the 2015 T-Book. These roles required me to work with historians, student photographers, and publishers to manage all aspects of designing, assembling, printing, and distributing this publication. As Chair, I was head of the T-Book committee and managed a staff of 5-10 people responsible for helping me find relevant pictures and stories to keep the T-Book up to date each year. I am most proud of my successful efforts to include extended sections on student involvement and current opportunities in and around campus in the most recent publication in accordance with the campus Mental Health Initiative.

The vast majority of the work for this publication was completed in InDesign. I also used Illustrator and Photoshop for the cover design and photo editing. In working with the publisher, I was able to gain experience in paper selection, cover preparation, and submission of files for large scale publications.
